David Cassidy–1970s heartthrob and star of The Partridge Family–was sentenced on Tuesday in a 2013 drunk driving case. He was arrested while driving in upstate New York.
The Associated Press reports that in addition to a $900 fine, David Cassidy was sentenced to 50 hours of community service, a six-month license suspension, installation of an ignition interlock device to prevent him from starting a car drunk, and a waiver of his right to appeal.
It was last September when David Cassidy pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charge of driving drunk. He was on his annual summer visit to the Saratoga Race Course, about 40 miles north of Schodack, New York when he was stopped by police.
A defense attorney for Cassidy said last year that he attended an alcohol rehab program following a DWI in Los Angeles.

David Cassidy received his sentence Tuesday in absentia. He lives in Florida, and court officials knew ahead of time that he wouldn’t be present for the sentencing.
Were you a David Cassidy fan during his heyday? Do you remember his hit song, ‘I Think I Love You?’ He sang that accompanied by his Partridge Family costar Shirley Jones.
