Dragon Age Origins, despite its solid characters and writing, was a little on the generic side. Dragon Age II was even more so. With Dragon Age Inquisition, it looks like BioWare is beginning to learn a thing or two about world building.

In a new trailer for Dragon Age Inquisition, BioWare shows off some of the environments players will come across in the new RPG. In short – it looks amazing. The design is straight out of the very best European RPGs with a wide variety of environments ranging from forests and castle towns to sprawling underground chasms and deserts.

The move to Frostbyte 3 really shows as well with the environments being some of the prettiest we’ve yet seen in a game. Dragon Age Inquisition may be the first RPG to really show off the power of the PS4 and Xbox One. Of course, it will also be quite the looker on PC.

Dragon Age Inquisition is scheduled to launch later this year on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
