“Dumb And Dumber” is one of those films that most of us can quote on command–and will, when given the chance–and was instrumental in elevating Jim Carrey to superstardom in the ’90s. Fans have been clamoring for a sequel for years, but despite the audience’s love affair with Harry and Lloyd, a sequel didn’t seem to be in the cards. Once one was finally put into works, it was plagued by lawsuits and was picked up by New Line Cinema only to be dropped by it’s parent company, Warner Brothers.
But according to Jim Carrey, all hope is not lost. The actor tweeted a very revealing photo on Sunday, showing off the iconic chipped tooth that made Lloyd so lovably dim-looking, and seemed to be announcing something…

Jeff Daniels has been busy with the hugely popular “Newsroom”, but that doesn’t mean he’s not down to revisit the good ol’ days; he confirmed on “Late Night” that filming will begin this month on the sequel, which is titled “Dumb And Dumber To”.
“It’ll be the 20th anniversary of the first one next year when it’s released,” he said. “I’ve seen the script. It’s hysterical. We’re middle-aged. We’re not pretending we aren’t. We’re middle-aged and we’re still that stupid.”
