Some Facebook Page admins are seeing a new ranking display on their Pages, which shows how they rank compared to their competitors.
For example, if your’e the fifth most popular business of your type in your town, it will show you that. Luckily, it will only show you and not your Page’s visitors. It’s an internal thing.
Inside Facebook received a screen shot from someone that’s part of the test, and it shows that a supermarket, which it says is ranked as the #2 Supermarket in Patras. It also displays the number of likes and visits (presumably check-ins).
Others are reporting seeing the feature as well:

The feature is apparently only being tested with place-based Pages.
Facebook has given Page admins access to other competition-based features in the recent past. A few months ago, they started letting you monitor your competitors’ Page performance with the Pages to Watch tool.
Seeing your ranking could provide some motivation to make it higher, as if you’re not ranking #1, you’ll know you have competitors that are doing it better than you.
