Pictured above is Google co-founder Sergey Brin, via photographer Thomas Hawk’s Flickr page, showcasing his new Google “augmented reality” glasses. In case you don’y know what Google glasses are, listen to what Google had to say earlier this month on their blog:

“A group of us from Google[x] started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment. We’re sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input. So we took a few design photos to show what this technology could look like and created a video to demonstrate what it might enable you to do.”

Google is working on making these glasses a reality and will most likely feature integrated Android OS, a low-resolution camera, some type of navigation system, and a scroll and click system based off of head movements. The glasses have created a lot of buzz and many are already speculating about what new possibilities they will open up.
