Hulu announced that it’s getting more episodes from Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, and more, thanks to the extension of its relationship with Viacom. The two entities first launched an agreement in 2011, to include content like The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.
More recently, Hulu became the exclusive streaming provider of Comedy Central’s South Park. These days, Hulu has various shows from the previously mentioned channels as well as TVLand, Spike, BET, and Logo.
Hulu will be able to significantly add to its kids offerings thanks to Nickelodeon content like Invader Zim, The Ren & Stimpy Show, Drake & Josh, and Hey Arnold!.Hulu SVP and Head of Content Craig Erwich writes on the Hulu blog:
Over the coming weeks, Hulu and Viacom will also be refreshing a library of past seasons from some of the funniest shows airing on television today. If you’re a fan of hilarious comedy, you can watch full seasons of Key & Peele, Drunk History, Ridiculousness, Tosh.0, Kroll Show and Inside Amy Schumer, from your living room, on your lunch break or on-the-go with Hulu. If you need a reality TV-fix, you’ll be able to binge watch Catfish, Ink Master, 16 & Pregnant, Teen Mom 2, Snooki & JWoww and more, and catch even more episodes of guilty pleasures like The Hills, The Jersey Shore, Basketball Wives, Love & Hip Hop, and Mob Wives. We are also adding select scripted series including Comedy Central’s Workaholics, MTV’s Faking It, and TVLand’s Hot in Cleveland.
In addition to all of the great English-language programming that will be available, we will also be expanding our offering of Latino programming for kids by adding a handful of family-friendly Nickelodeon titles such as SpongeBob SquarePants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Spanish to Hulu.
