Ian Somerhalder, star of the hit show Vampire Diaries, was spotted at the 2016 Film Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica, California on Saturday afternoon. The event honors independent filmmakers.

Spotted alongside Ian Somerhalder was his wife, Nikki Reed, and Mr. Robot star Rami Malek.

While some might think all eyes were on Nikki Reed, it was actually Ian Somerhalder who drew the most recognition on the red carpet. Decked out in a Sandro blazer and white shirt, fans seem to notice the actor’s eyes above all else. Ian Somerhalder could wear a paper bag (not like Shia LaBeouf did–this is something entirely different) and still serve as a magnet to every woman in the room.

This isn’t to say that Nikki Reed didn’t dazzle on the red carpet. She wore a long-sleeved teal print gown with a stunning front cutout, along with a pair of sexy Brian Atwood heels.

Ian Somerhalder has been asked numerous times in recent weeks if his show–Vampire Diaries–is getting axed.

“We just want to get through this year,” is his standard reply.
