As executive producer of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kris Jenner calls the shots, but a recent decision she made is reportedly causing network executives at E! to scratch their heads. Jenner has allegedly agreed with rapper French Montana on an amount for his appearances in the show and its spin-off, Kourtney & Khloe Take The Hamptons. The rapper is currently dating Jenner’s daughter, Khloe Kardashian.

The deal between Jenner and Montana was reportedly made without the blessing of E! executives. A source from the network revealed that the normal process for a guest appearance on the show involves asking other guests to leave it before hiring new ones and working within a certain budget. However, Jenner reportedly worked on the deal with Montana and simply informed the channel of his expected paycheck after the fact.

“He’s expensive, and some people at E! just don’t think he’s worth the money. I’ve heard execs moaning about it, saying, ‘We’re just paying so much for him!’,” said the source.

Montana explained to Confidenti@l that he was made part of the show purely for the reason that he was dating Kardashian. “Me just being a part of her life, they recorded me and asked me for my permission to air my footage out, and they wanted to give me a check to do it, give me a contract, make me a part of it,” he said.

The rapper and Jenner’s daughter began dating in May after they were introduced by rapper P. Diddy during a session in the studio. “That’s where we met. I was like, ‘Yo, let me get her number,’ and Puff gave it to me,” Montana said.

His relationship with Kardashian is reportedly going well, though Montana only replied, “All good,” when asked how serious it was. On meeting the family, he said, “It’s awesome. I love all of them, from Kim, to Kris [Jenner], to everybody. I have more love for them after I met them. I thought they were more down-to-earth.”
