During difficult times, some people just like to stay busy. It looks like Mariah Carey is one of those people. Even though she is in the middle of separating from Nick Cannon, her husband since 2008, the pop singer is staying the course, putting her energy into her two kids and her upcoming tour.

Carey took to Instagram on Saturday night, posting two pictures that showed the diva in full rehearsal for her upcoming “The Elusive Chanteuse Tour.” The tour is set to begin in Tokyo, Japan on October 4. Carey will also hit several other cities in Asia. However, no additional dates have been announced just yet.

The tour is a big one for the super star, who has been busy raising her three-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan Scott. Carey has not had a major world tour since 2006’s “The Adventures of Mimi.”

“I want to experience the spontaneity and emotion that I put into this album on stage with my fans,” Carey said in a statement. “I can’t stop writing songs so don’t be surprised if you hear a brand new song that I just wrote the night before the show in your city!”

The tour will most likely feature several cuts from Carey’s latest release, Me. I Am Mariah … The Elusive Chanteuse. The album dropped on May 23. It debuted at No. 3 with 58,000 units sold. It was Carey’s fourteenth studio album.

Meanwhile, Cannon is staying busy as well. The America’s Got Talent host was in Toronto last weekend hosting a Pepsi Pop Up concert. Cannon took to Twitter last week in defense of his estranged wife and to lash out on the media.

Sources that are close with the couple revealed that Cannon and Carey have been living separately since June. There are also rumors that the singer has begun the divorce process.
