OpenAI is working to address Italy’s concerns that led the country’s privacy watchdog to ban ChatGPT.
Italy became the first country to ban ChatGPT, or any major AI platform for that matter, over data privacy concerns. The move was somewhat controversial, with Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini saying the move showed there “has clearly been too much zeal.”
According to AP News, OpenAI plans to propose measures to address Italy’s concerns and hopefully lift the ban. There has been no word on exactly what those measures may be, but the firm clearly has incentive to address the country’s concerns.
