Outlook for mobile is getting a major new feature, one that will make it easier to send and upload videos.
First spotted by TechRadar Pro, Microsoft is working to ease a major pain point when taking videos on a phone to send via email. The company describes how the feature will work in its Microsoft 365 Roadmap:
Outlook: Video Capture and Upload to OneDrive
Users will be able to capture a video from their phone while in the Outlook Mobile app, then seamlessly upload it to their email. Uploading the video will leverage OneDrive for Business, allowing users to benefit from increased storage space and large limits for video size and length.
The feature should be a welcome improvement for anyone who has fumbled with their phone trying to find and attach a video to an email.
The feature will appear on Android first, but will likely make its way to iOS eventually.
