Pia Zadora, an actress and entertainer, suffered some serious injuries from a golf cart accident caused by her son.

Zadora was thrown from the cart after the her 17-year-old son, Jordan, made a sharp left turn onto a street at about 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.

She is now in intensive care recovering from an ankle fracture and a severe head injury that caused bleeding on her brain.

Her husband, Mike Jeffries, reported how the incident happened.

Zadora was supposed to perform at Piero’s Italian Cuisine on Friday and Saturday but, obviously, both performances have been cancelled.

Apparently Pia Zadora had performed there before.

Before she was a singer in Las Vegas, Pia Zadora found success at the early age of 10 when she performed in the Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof in the 1960s.

She then made a little more headway for her career when she starred with Stacy Keach and Orson Welles in the 1982 film version of the novel Butterfly.

She won a Golden Globe award in 1982 for “Best New Star of the Year” for her role in the movie, which centered around a father/daughter incestuous relationship. In the movie, she sang the cringe-inducing song “It’s Wrong For Me To Love You”.

However, amid allegations that her husband “bought” the award for her, Pia Zadora was also the recipient of a Razzie award for “Worst New Star” and “Worst Actress” of 1982.

Seems like the critics would rather her sing than act.

Hopefully Pia Zadora will recover soon!
