The Pixel 7a may be poised for a major feature, with Face Unlock reportedly set to return to Google’s budget line.
Face Unlock debuted on the Pixel 4 but was never included in Google’s budget A-series devices. Even the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro shipped without the feature before it once again made an appearance with the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.
According to well-known tipster SnoopyTech, the Pixel 7a is slated to receive the feature.
Face Unlock is touted as being more secure than fingerprint unlocking and is a much better option for users wearing gloves. Its inclusion in the Pixel 7a will be a welcome one for most users.
