Randy Rogers and his wife Chelsea are mourning the loss of their six-day-old baby girl. Rumer Rain Rogers died on Tuesday of last week.
The lead singer of The Randy Rogers Band shared his heartache with radio station 93Q Country, saying his little girl fought to stay alive during her short time on earth.
“Rumer passed away last night,” Randy Rogers told the station. “She died after a weeklong battle with a very rare condition. She died in our arms and in no pain. She was absolutely beautiful in every way. Her brain however was very sick.”
Rumer was born on June 3rd in Austin, Texas.

Randy Rogers says despite their pain, he and his wife will one day share more about their baby girl’s struggle.
“I’m sure you all have many questions and we have all the answers the doctors gave us. We can share the story with you,” he concluded to 93Q Country. “It’s quite an extraordinary one. A memorial will be planned soon. We love you.”
Prayers are surely being said by country music fans all over the U.S. for Randy Rogers and his wife Chelsea. May they find some comfort in those prayers and peace in the days to come.
