Alaska reporter Charlo Greene definitely shocked local viewers last night.

However, today she’s turning heads across the country! Greene reportedly went out with a bang last night when she announced she was quitting on air. Now, her shocking statement has been viewed by more than a million users on YouTube!

Her infamous announcement came at the end of her segment, where she discussed the legalization of marijuana in Alaska.

She also revealed she is the owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club. As if her admission wasn’t shocking enough, she went on to announce her abrupt departure! Her jaw-dropping statement was definitely unexpected!

“Now, everything you’ve heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska,” she told viewers.

“And as for this job, well…not that I have a choice, but f–k it, I quit.”

Greene shrugged and walked off the set. The camera then shifted to the next news anchor. Of course, she had to regain her composure before addressing Greene’s awkward announcement.

“All right, we apologize for that,” the visibly shocked news anchor explained. Then, there was a pregnant pause before she continued. “We’ll be right back,” she added.

KTVA, a local CBS News affiliate, addressed the matter via Twitter. Shortly after the incident took place, the Anchorage news station posted an official apology to all who viewed the segment.

“Viewers, we sincerely apologize for the inappropriate language used by a KTVA reporter on the air tonight,” the tweet read. “The employee has been terminated.”

According to US Weekly, Greene is definitely committed to her fight for “freedom and fairness.” She has also started a fundraiser called Indie Go-Go, a campaign for marijuana reform.

“Advocating for freedom and fairness should be everyone’s duty. I’m making it my life work — to uphold what America stands for truly,” Greene declared. “Show others that we smokers are responsible, contributing members of  society,” she continued. “Changing one heart and mind at a time is the only way to legalize marijuana and bask in Lady Liberty’s glory.”
